02 The Downfall of a King

In this sobering passage, we witness the tragic turning point in the life of King Saul. Though appointed and anointed by God through the prophet Samuel, Saul’s partial obedience reveals a deeper problem of the heart. What appears to be small compromise becomes open rebellion. What seems like religious devotion is exposed as self-preservation and pride.

Through Saul’s failure, God teaches us a powerful truth: obedience is better than sacrifice, and a divided heart will eventually lead to downfall.
