The Love of God

Jesus was once asked by a legal expert what the greatest commandment was? Jesus answered the question by combining two commandments from the Old Testament. He said the greatest commandment is to Love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. Before we can love God and love others, we must understand that God loves us. 

Romans 5:8 says 

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Once you receive God’s love through the work of Christ, then you and I will be able to love God and others the way we were created to do.
